On the 20th, K-League Dream Assist reported that “Pohang Steelers physical coach Son Dong-min donated sleeping glasses and soccer books to K-League aspiring players.”
K-League Dream Assist is a social contribution activity that supports the dreams of soccer players by providing year-round one-on-one mentoring programs with current and former K-League and WK League players. Operated by the social contribution foundation K-League Assist, the mentoring program is supported by HD Hyundai Oilbank and the Korea Professional Football League. Launched in 2020, the program celebrates its fifth year this year.
The 5th K-League Dream Assist inauguration ceremony was held on the 18th at the HD Hyundai Oilbank Daesan Plant in Seosan, South Chungcheong Province, and approximately 50 mentors and mentees graced the occasion.
Their one-on-one mentoring sessions are scheduled for seven sessions from May to November. Various educational programs, training sessions, and friendly matches with local youth teams are also planned.
Meanwhile, Pohang Steelers coach Son Dong-min published a book last year titled "Physical Coach, Change the Football Market." This year, he launched sleep glasses to help players manage their sleep and conditioning. K-League Dream Assist stated, "We express our gratitude for the donation of sleep glasses and soccer books, which are crucial for the developmental stages of youth players." Coach Son expressed his hope through the foundation, saying, "I hope the mentees grow alongside their mentors, achieve their dreams of becoming professional soccer players, and play together in the K-League."
